Onda for health system

What we do

The Onda Foundation works together with the Italian National Health System and with health and social care facilities, to encourage the safeguard of women’s health by improving their strategies and initiatives in this field, and by informing healthcare staff and the general public.

The Italian National Health System represents ONDA’s main partner. ONDA’s initiatives directly involve Italian hospitals through the Bollini Rosa project, which awards hospitals that pay particular attention to gender-specific and women’s issues. Through the Bollini Rosa project, ONDA organises Open Weeks or Open Days to inform the general public on the diagnosis and treatment of common pathologies.
In regards to social care, ONDA works together with a group of Italian care homes (Residenze Sanitarie Assistenziali), awarded Bollini RosaArgento for their humane approach in caring for the elderly.
The Onda Foundation offers free training courses for consultants and other healthcare workers that focus on gender-specific pathologies. The aim is to continuously update doctors and healthcare staff on these pathologies.
This section introduces the activities that focus on drawing women and men towards faster diagnosis and personalised treatments. These initiatives were all made possible through collaboration of hospitals and care homes. Here are also gathered more in-depth information and scientific articles, as well as a calendar of conferences and other activities for doctors and healthcare workers.
